Part 3 of 3.
One of things I am proud of is starting the year off weighing 10lbs less than the previous year. This has been such a struggle. I have been blessed with being able to stay pretty lean and never had to really worry about nutrition growing up but after I turned 30 and had babies, I’ve had to change my approach. A lot of my realization was around habits and the compound effect (the book help me realize this) of these habits. What I felt like were small things, we’re really adding up. Couple things that have really helped:
- Evolve Paleo– this is a meal service in Kansas City. Each week they have a different menu and we order what we want. They either deliver on Sunday or we can go pick it up. This has been a game changer. Not only do you get great food but it good for you! They come in containers so you aren’t doing dishes afterward either. They are expanding to NE, OK and other areas and I would highly recommend them!! http://evolvepaleochef.com
- Keto– I’ve only just began this journey so more to come but since I started on Keto I’ve had more energy then I know what to do and this also helped me get the last bit of the ten pounds off. I’m excited to see what 2019 brings with this.
- Brazilian Jiu Jitsu- I was terrified of this at first but I LOVE IT. It’s humbling and amazing at the same time. I found something that really challenges me and keeps me coming back for more. More to come on my adventures with BJJ. There are a lot of leadership lessons that can be learned from practicing BJJ.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post!
